It is with extreme sadness that I inform our members that Charles A. Rockwood, MD, passed away Feb. 1, 2022. Dr. Rockwood was an icon in our field and a founding member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He is credited with serving as one of the inaugural editors of the seminal textbook “Fractures,” more commonly referred to as Rockwood and Green. His contributions to our field are legendary, and he touched many in our association. We will miss him dearly, but we have been privileged to have him as a member and leader in the OTA.
